Our intention in creating this website is to provide information and raise awareness of the inter-relationships that exist.
The term Vegaversum is composed from the words vegan and universe. In conjunction with the logo (the world as a budding plant), this term is a synonym for a world which is reconnected with nature, in which we recognise that all life forms are related to each other, and which we treat with dignity and respect. The word "universe" further signifies that we wish to include all areas of life in our appeal for aware, considerate behaviour and, where possible, support. We hope to achieve this important task, with your help, through the ongoing development of this site and its topics.
We aim to inform but without discouraging or polarizing. We also try to situate the topics in their global context. With regard to our own choices, we made the decision to do without animal products in order to reduce the suffering caused by our consumerism. Our readers have the choice, likewise, to form their own opinions and question their own consumption habits.
